The Lehigh Valley Pitbull Awareness Club
The Lehigh Valley Pitbull Awareness Club (LVPAC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that was created in 2010. Our mission is to present the public with a positive image of the bully breeds and to serve as a hub for unbiased information and resources for pitbull owners, lovers and skeptics. We aim to educate the general public and help push aside the negative stigma associated with these dogs.
LVPAC advocates for dogs, responsible owners, and the shelters and rescues that do right by the American Pit Bull Terrier. We are not an animal rescue, but we are very rescue oriented. While we exist solely to educate the public about pitbulls and other bully breeds, we do work to help link rescues with potential adopters with the goal of finding forever homes.
Shelters are overly full of dogs, and pit bull breeds lead the list of those behind bars, waiting for a home. Many never find one. A cage is no place to live. Before you buy, visit your local shelters and contact your local rescues. Love waits behind the door, you just need to open it.
